Russian New Year Celebration! Dutch Fairytale

“The Snow Queen” – January 9th at 2pm and 5 pm

Who hasn’t heard of the famous fairytale by H. C. Andersen “The Snow Queen”! If you still don’t know the story, you should definitely come to our show! You will find our how the Snow Queen kidnapped a boy named Kai, and how his sister Gerda went looking for him. You will see the adventures of this brave little girl when you come to our show. After the play, you will meet Ded Moroz (Russian Santa Claus), play games around the Christmas tree and receive a gift from Ded Moroz’s magical bag!

We’d love to see you on January 9th at 2pm and 5 pm at the Russian Community Centre @ 2114 W. 4th Ave, Vancouver.

This event also features the Russian Royal Buffet (during intermission) and a visit from Russian Santa (Ded Moroz) all the way from North Siberia.

At both events, Ded Moroz, his granddaughter Snegurochka, and Mother Winter will play interactive games with the audience after the performances. They will also give out presents to children (Presents can be pre-purchased right before the play, prices range from $8 to $20. Ded Moroz will present the gift personally to your child during the second part of the show).
