We invite all Vancouverites- Slavic or not- to support Slavic Day 2014

Preparations are happening now! Students of Russian Theatre Palme and a few dozen volunteers are working on making the event happen.

Dear friends, you are welcome to join in: we need volunteers (especially people experienced in working with food/concession), we need performers (there are already more than 40 different groups and 30 individual performers to join).  You could also run a booth as part of the fair, or supervise/ set up games and competitions.

When the organizers of «Miss World of Canada» learned about our festival, they immediately offered to participate and will be recruiting at the event, because everyone knows that Slavic women are some of the most beautiful in the world!

The festival also needs models to wear Slavic costumes by Bulgarian artist Natasa Nikolova and Russian style theatre costumes, from well-known costume designer Ludmila Petrova.  We are looking for women with long hair and those who know how to style braids, for the “Best braid” contest, participants for the strength contest, and many others to ensure that the event is fun for all. The full details of the festival will be online at www.palmetheatre.com starting June 10, 2014.

We welcome donations and sponsors like Dr. Nikolai Elizarov and realtor Oleg Tsaryov. With your support the event is sure to be a success!
